Services
Please note : We understand that nowadays working patterns are not necessarily Monday-Friday, 9-5. Many of our "clients" let us know when we are required just a week before (even less at times, though we don't encourage this).
Dog Walking
That's it, we will walk your dog. Unfortunately, it is not always possible, for whatever reason, for you to walk your dog. When you can't we probably can. Depending upon commitments it may be a walk on its own or in the company of other dogs. Either way it will be an active hour, (or half hour) that will benefit your dog's health and well-being in addition to providing stimulation and sheer canine enjoyment. If you are happy that your dog may be let off the lead and we are also satisfied that it would be safe then it would benefit from free runs as we live close to lots of secure traffic free walks.
Day care and Half-Day care
We will look after your dog for up to 10 hours, but not provide overnight accommodation. See "Home Boarding" for overnight stays. However, half-day care may be more appropriate. It may be favourable to all parties to provide just 3-4 hours care and company, including a walk so that it is only on its own for a short time (We can pick-up and/or collect.) We will discuss with you if this is appropriate and will depend on where you live.
Home visits
We are prepared to visit your home to care for your dog whilst you are out and if required, provide that "lived-in" look, removing post, opening & closing curtains and operating lights etc. Of course we can always feed the cat, hamster and goldfish at the same time. Feeding the chickens? An appropriate price can be negotiated.
NB. We are CRB checked for your confidence in security.
Home Boarding
Why put your best friend in kennels? We will look after your dog(s) in our own home as though it were our own best friend. Plenty of all the things that your dog is sure to enjoy - walks, playtime, treats (at your discretion), companionship and a comfortable home environment. We may have more than one dog, and so they must be reasonably sociable. You may be surprised how well dogs get on with others. We do not use a crate unless you have stated that preference, and then it is not used as a punishment. This is our home. We are not a kennelling establishment. We have enough rooms to keep dogs separate if absolutely necessary, but we do not want to do this except in an emergency, or at night when we are not with them. Do we let them go on the furniture? No. With guide dog pups, we were not allowed to let them on the furniture and we have carried this on. But you are likely to find us sitting on the floor with them!
Unfortunately, we have had to take the decision that we will NOT generally board un-neutered male dogs with any other dogs from other homes. The only way we can board these is to charge the total cost of 2 dogs(ie whether you have 1 or 2 dogs, the charge will be the same as for 2 separate dogs), and then probably not at our busiest times.
