About Us

We can provide the loving home environment that you want - for your best friend(s) in your home or ours. We also provide dog-walking and drop-in services. If you live near the Kirklees Trail, you may have seen one or both of us walking greyhouds, huskies, labs, retrievers, spaniels, terriers, chihuahuas, a German shepherd - or any combination! Areas that we cover

We will board dogs from anywhere and subject to additional charges, can arrange to collect and return from (almost) anywhere. Similarly we are prepared to house-sit in any area, subject to expenses. However we live near Tottington and will walk dogs and undertake home visits around the North Bury and East Bolton areas. Bury, Tottington, Greenmount, Hawkshaw, Turton, Affetside, Ainsworth, Walshaw, Holcombe, Ramsbottom, Radcliffe, Elton, Whitefield, Prestwich. Bolton, Edgworth and surrounding areas. 

History of Project        

As former Guide Dog puppy-walkers and boarders, David and I have had lots of experience with different dogs of all ages. Lots of labs and retrievers, but also German Shepherds, lurchers, a Yorkie, a boxer, a Heinz 57 with her 7 2-week old pups to name but a few. We have had no dogs of our own as we did not like to put them in kennels. We minded everyone else's instead, and then Guide Dog pups just went back into the Guide Dog centre while we went away. And yes, we DID find it very hard to give them up. We even considered absconding with our first - but it really IS worth it
